From the 21.07.-29.07.2006 the ISA returns to the famous Sotavento Beach on the island of Fuerteventura for the kick-off event of the 2006 tour.

The Notice of Race as well as the Registration forms are now available for download at www.speedsurfing.org.

For nine days the who is who of the speed scene will take over the historical speed strip in front of the Pro Center Rene Egli to fight for the speed crown. The latest equipment developed during the winter months will be presented by the more than 100 competitors from all over the world.

Fuerteventura is well known for its changing conditions, from perfectly flat water to uncontrollable waves. Everyone is hoping for good conditions this year compared with the famous strong winds of the southern part of the island.

With a Eur 25000 purse the stakes are obviously high, but Fuerteventura's party status in its turn is drawing loads of sailors and spectators to the event as well, setting the stage for an action packed week, on and off the water.

So everything is perfectly prepared for the Fuerteventura ISA Speedsurfing Grand Prix 2006. The official competitions will take place from Saturday, July 22nd to Saturday, July 29th. The closing ceremony with prize giving will take place on Saturday evening.
