Waves here in Matanzas were good, about 1-2 meters most of the time and the wind going from 10-16 knots mostly. It was really tricky to jump so most of the heats were dedicated to waveriding.
The semifinals were really good because they had there the best sailors of South America: Konan Lang, ex-PWA; Andres Tobar, winner of the South American wavesailing first series in Pacasmayo, Peru 2009; Ricardo Guglielmino, South American champion 2008 (tie) Enrique Letelier, South American champion 2008 (tie).
The semi finals were amazing, the best wave was taken by local sailor Andres Tobar, with a great style riding it. And some good maneouvers highlighted the heat as the flaka in the wave of Konan Lang and the huge aerial table top of Ricardo Guglielmino. Considering there was 9-12 knots in the wave all this show was impressive in the beach.

More and more wavesailors from South America are interested in this tour and it is growing. Last year we had just one date in Peru, this year was one in Peru and one in Chile. Next year we have already arranged for the first date in Pacasmayo (Peru), the next one in Ibaraquera (Brasil) and end in Matanzas (Chile).
