Mauritius Attitude Freeride Challenge 2014
Posted On:  03/12/2014 14:20:45

Mauritius is an island nation with more than 1.2 million inhabitants. It’s located in the Indian Ocean and well known for its waves. One Eye or Manawa at the Le Morne peninsula are world class spots with fast and powerful breaking waves. Despite the great wave spots freeriding gets more popular on the island. And there are a few reasons. The weather conditions are great with great wind conditions from March 'til November and numerous lagoons are the perfect spots for freeriding. Australian Isaac de Vries (AUS-624) participated at the Mauritius Attitude Freeride Challenge.

Go to the Continent Seven website to read his diary and view amazing pics of this real paradise for freeriding and slalom racing. Almost all shots are taken by Gregg Betts, a few by Natasha Smith.

Overall results after a week racing:

1. Julien Maurel
2. Fabrice Leciezio
3. Nico Falcou (best ranked kitesurfer)
4. Isaac de Vries
