This year marks the third annual installment of the Hatteras Windsurfing Festival Series (HWFS) featuring Atlantic oceanside wavesailiing and aerial acrobatics. The past two years provided a unique opportunity to introduce visiting and non-visiting windsurfers to Cape Hatteras though direct participation and media exposure spanning national/regional print as well as international online coverage (try a google search for "hatteras wave jam!"). The Jam's previous successes have opened the doors for US mainland wavesailing, and focus to Cape Hatteras, the US east coast premier wavesailing destination. September is "prime-time" in Hatteras for excellent surf and wind conditions given peak tropical season. We have scored awesome conditions over the past two years, and expect another score in 2010!
