Julien Quentel is European Slalom Champion!
Posted On:  19/06/2010 17:28:41
On the final day, the stewards could not vouch for the safety of surfers and cancelled the last race. The waves were high and, with winds over 20 knots, "extreme" was an understatement!  Relief rather than disappointment that the final would not be run in these conditions!

The six elimination rounds run during the week, giving two discards, made for a good championship and Frenchman Julien Quentel takes the European Championship title. Fellow countryman, Pierre Mortefon, was second and Pole Wojtek Brozozowski took third. Dutchman Peter Volwater had to settle for fourth.
